Frequently asked questions:

Q What is electronic giving?

A Electronic giving is an automatic transfer program allowing donations without writing a check.

Q What is the advantage of electronic giving?

A It saves time. You also help McKamey Animal Center stabilize its budget and save money.

Q How does my electronic donation get deducted from my account?

A Once you authorize the transfer, your specified donation is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the McKamey Animal Center.

Q How often will my donation be deducted from my account?

A You choose the frequency of your giving: weekly, twice a month or monthly.

Q If I do not write checks, how do I balance my checkbook?

A Since your donation is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date.

Q Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my donation?

A Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transfers. They will also be recorded on the annual giving statement the McKamey Animal Center prepares.

Q Is electronic giving risky?

A Electronic giving is less risky than making donations by check. It cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed.

Q What if I change bank accounts?

A Notify us by completing a new authorization.

Q What is the processing fee for electronic giving?

A NO FEE, the McKamey Animal Center pays the fee.

Q What if I try electronic giving and don’t like it or need to change it for any reason?

A Cancel or change your authorization by notifying us at any time. But, once you’ve enjoyed the convenience, time and money savings of electronic giving, we doubt you will want to go back to making donations the way you did before.

Q How do I sign up for electronic giving?

A Complete and sign the authorization form and deliver or mail it to the McKamey Animal Center office with a voided check or savings deposit slip.
