STRAY CAT STRUT WALKS AWAY WITH SUCCESS! The inaugural Stray Cat Strut raised $5,000 for the feral cat project, which means another 200+ feral and stray cats will be trapped, neutered and released through the program. A steady crowd came to Play Dog Excellent on Saturday, Nov. 3 to see a cat show for the average tom, shop in the kitty boutique, bid on silent auction items, purchase tasty homemade baked goods, listen to Dr. Marcia Toumayan and Bev Eitner talk about cat breeds, get their kitty’s claws clipped and photo taken in the photo booth. A team of volunteers, lead by Becky Endsley with Cats are Totally Special (CATS), worked off their tails preparing for, setting up, and working the event. The following sponsors made the event a true community effort: PetCo, Merial, Chattanooga Printing and Engraving, The Knitting Mill, Niedlov’s Breadworks, TWH Architects Inc, Tractor Supply Company, PetSmart, Tire World, Play Dog Excellent, Judy Fleenor/My Popart LLD, Chattanooga Times Free Press, Pisa Pizza, PetCare Warehouse, Moe’s, Banfield – The Pet Hospital, Brooke Evans Jewelry, Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain, the Cat Clinic of Chattanooga, and Art Venture Screen Printing. A huge scratch behind the ears to everyone involved with this event! Enjoy these wonderful photos take by Bob Keebler.
