Lead Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Lead Technician works independently and through the guidance/directive of the Operations and HR Administrator and/or Executive Director in the performance of a variety of maintenance, construction and/or mechanical systems duties within the facility and grounds as required or assigned.
Monitor, maintain, repair or replace: lighting fixtures, (changing bulbs, ballast etc.), floor machine, washing/dryer machines, kennels/cages/guillotine doors, fencing, gates, electronics, animal equipment, door closures and air vents, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. Monitor and clean the grounds, sidewalks and parking lots during inclement weather. Roof, gutters, down spouts and windows (cobwebs), assist with the proper storage of Center supplies within all storage areas. Transport animals or haul items off property. Check maintenance book daily for listed maintenance/repair items to be completed. Report any maintenance issues to the Operations & HR Administrator. Follow guidelines concerning safety and handling of hazardous materials. Work collaboratively to ensure the facility is well maintained
Experience in facility maintenance with skills in carpentry, small motor repairs, mechanical systems, computer skills, electricity and plumbing. Candidate must have an interest in animal care and welfare and reflect an outlook that is energetic, upbeat and positive. Personal tools must be provided.
High school diploma is required
$13.00 - $15.00 depending on experience.
